How to Reinstall Microsoft Edge on Windows 10

On Windows 10, the first time Microsoft Edge was introduced. Microsoft Edge one of the best web browsers out there. However, most of the Windows users use Google Chrome or FireBox, but a little number of users still use Microsoft Edge.

Reinstall Microsoft Edge

Important: Before any attempt, you should reset Microsoft Edge. It could help to get rid of reinstalling.
1# First of all, Close the Microsoft Edge if running.

2# Next, Open the File Explorer and under the View tab enable the Hidden Items menu.

3# Now, Jump to the following Location.

“UserName is your PC User name.”

4# Next, Find the folder named “Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe” and delete it by using the delete key on your Keyboard. This will help you to Reinstall Microsoft Edge. 

How to Reinstall Microsoft Edge on Windows 10

It will start preparing to recycle from packages and take a while to complete this process. Wait until it finishes.

Once it is finished, It will ask “Are you sure you want to remove this Folder”, Just click “Yes” and move ahead.

It can ask “Do you want to permanently delete this folder?”, simply hit the “Yes” button.

This process will take a couple of minutes to delete all the items from the folder. It may take your permission to delete some files and folder, just keep deleting all items.

“If some files don’t delete, just skip it.”

5# Now, Restart your PC.

6# Next, Open the PowerShell and run as Administrator.

7# Navigate the user directory, Enter the command “cd C:\users\username” and hit the Enter button.

Important: If the username contains white space just use inverted commas “user name”
“Replace the Username with your Windows user name.”

8# Now, Copy the Following Command line and paste on PowerShell Window and hit this enter button to execute this command.

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers -Name Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml” -Verbose}

How to Reinstall Microsoft Edge on Windows 10

9# Wait until the process does complete, and You will get the confirmation message.

10# Now Restart your PC and start using your Microsoft Edge as before without any problem.
