How to Install New Windows 11 Microsoft Store on Windows 10

After the Windows 11 release, Microsoft started rolling out the new Microsoft Store to Windows 10. However, the rollout is currently restricted to Windows 10 Insider Release Preview channel. It may take a few months for the stable version of the Store to be released. But, if you don’t want to wait until the stable release, So, In this guide, we will show you how to install the new Windows 11 Microsoft Store on Windows 10.

Install the New Microsoft Store on Windows 10

Microsoft has completely redesigned the new Windows 11 Store to improve the overall performance. You get Android app support aka (Windows Subsystem for Android) on Windows 11 Store, but unfortunately, not on Windows 10 Store, even though you install new Store on Windows 10.

To install the new Windows 11 Microsoft Store on Windows 10, you don’t need to join the Windows Insider program. Only, need to download some necessary files and follow this guide step-by-step.

Download necessary files

  1. First of all, head over to the store.rg-adguard.net. Then, click on the drop-down menu to the left of the text box and select “ProductId“. Next, enter the product Id “9wzdncrfjbmp” in the text box. Make sure ‘RP‘ is selected from the dop-down menu. Click the ‘OK‘ button to find the results.

  1. You’ll find a long list of search results. First, you need to download the VCLibs file in the APPX format. If you have a 64-bit PC, look for x64 APPX file, and for 32-bit look for x86 APPX file, and for ARM CPU look for the ARM APPX file. In my case, I will download x64 APPX file because I have 64-bit PC. To download the file, right-click it and select ‘Save link as…‘.

  1. Similarly, find the Microsoft.UI.Xaml file in the APPX format depeding on your PC supports 32-bit, 64-bit or ARM architecture. In my case, I will download the following x64 APPX file.

  1. Next, find the .NET framework file in the APPX format. In my case, I will download the following x64 APPX file.

  1. Lastly, download the following “msixbundle” file. Generally, you’ll find this file at the bottom.

Once you have downloaded all the necessary files required to install the new Microsoft Store on Windows, you can move to the next step.

Install new Microsoft Store on Windows 10

You’ll have a total of four files you downloaded on your computer; using them we will install the new Microsoft Store on Windows 10. Follow the below steps to register the app through Windows PowerShell.

  1. Click the Start Menu, then type ‘Windows PowerShell‘ in the search box. Select the Windows PowerShell from the search result and Run as administrator.
  2. Now, open the folder where you have downloaded all the files.
  3. Press and hold the “Shift” key on the keybaord and then right-click the VCLib file, and select “Copy as path” option to copy the file path.
  4. In the Windows PowerShell, run the following command. Replace the filePath with path of the file you copied.

  1. Similarly, copy the path of the ‘Microsoft.UI.XAML‘ file, and run the following command to add the package.

  1. Next, add the ‘NET framework’ package file. Copy the file path and replace it with the filePath in the following command.

  1. Finally, copy the path of the ‘msixbundle’ package and replace it with the filePath in the following command.
Add-AppxPackage -path filePath

Once you complete the steps. The new Microsoft Store will be available to your Windows 10 PC. Now, go ahead and open the Store to install apps and games.
