Install Kali Linux on VMware Workstation
Kali Linux installation is quite an easy process on your Computer, but your Computer hardware should be compatible with Kali Linux. The minimum hardware requirements below as follows, You may read before proceeding.

1# First, Open your VMware Workstation and Click on the “Create a New Virtual Machine” to create a new virtual machine on your Computer.
2# Select the Typical mode and click on Next Button.
3# Choose your Installer Disc Image file (ISO) from your PC Storage and then click on Next button to proceed. (Select Kali Linux Img File, you had downloaded)
4# Now Choose your Guest Operating System as Linux and Version as Ubuntu (If Kali Linux is absent in given versions list), then Next Button.
5# Select your Virtual Machine name and Location, then Next.
6# Now, Select your Hard Disk Size and Select “Store Virtual Disk as a single file” as well, then click Next button.
7# After that, You will get a customize Hardware option, where you can customize your hardware including RAM, Display, Network, CPU etc.
8# Customize your Hardware and click Finish, Now your Kali Linux (Virtual Machine) is ready to be installed on your VMware Workstation.
9# Now power on this virtual machine on your PC.
10# It will start the Kali Linux installation process.
Now starts Kali Linux Installation process:
11# Once Installation process gets the start. So first you will get Boot option where you have to select “Graphical Install”, then Hit the Enter Button.
12# Then fill out some Important details such as Language, Location, Keyboard and then It will automatically Load all installer components.
13# In “Configure the Network” settings Enter the Hostname for this System and Continue setup. Here, you can enter any Hostname, As you want.
14# It will ask to enter the Domain name too, If you have, can enter, otherwise Click for continue. It is not important setting to consider.
15# Now setup password* for Root user, Enter your Password and continue this setup.
16# Once it is done, It will ask for Partition Disks, Select Disk as “Use Entire Disk” and click for Continue setup.
17# Now select the Virtual Disk that you created and continue setup.
18# Then, It will ask for the partition that you have to create one partition or different, Simply we will need only one partition, Select “All the files in one partition” and continue.
19# After that, Select “Finish partition and changes to disk” and continue this setup.
20# It will ask for Format Disk (Write the Changes to Disk) as well, Select yes and continue setup. Don’t worry It is the virtual machine, Nothing would be after formatting.
21# Now, The System will be installed, It may take half an hour as well.
22# Once it is finished, It will ask to use Network Mirror, Select YES and Continue setup.
23# It will configure the package manager and Install GRUB Bootloader on a hard disk. It can take a couple of minutes to finish, and then select YES and Continue setup.
24# Now select the Virtual Disk (Device For Bootloader Installation) as “/dev/sda” and continue setup. It will finish the Installation soon.
25# The Installation has been finished click continue to start Kali Linux.
26# Kali Linux will be boot self and ask your Username and Password to start, Enter the Username “Root” and password you created.
27# Now the Kali Linux has been started successfully on your VMware Workstation.
