1. Restart Windows Explorer

2. Delete icons cache

You can delete the icons database from the cache file, this may solve your problem easily. Here’s how to do it.

1. Open the RUN Dialog box and by pressing Windows+R shortcut keys together.

2. Now type the command AppData in the RUN box and then hit OK.

3. Under the AppData Folder open the Local Folder. (You forget to unhide files and folders)

4. In the Local Folder, Locate the “IconCahe” database file, and then right-click on it and delete this file from your computer.

3. Reset All Taskbar Pinned Icons

1. Open the RUN Box and type command “%appdata% and hit enter.

2. This opens the Roaming folder, under this folder navigate Microsoft>Internet Explorer>Quick Launch>UserPinned/Taskbar.

User Pinned is hidden folder, don’t folder to unhide this folder.

3. In the Taskbar folder, delete all the Taskbar Pinned shortcut, press Ctrl+A to select all of them and then Shift+del.

4. Now, Start the Windows Explorer using Task Manager.

4. Using Command Prompt

1. Go to the Windows Taskbar search and search cmd.

2. Now right click on the Command Prompt and run as administrator.

3. Type the following command and hit enter button on your keyboard.

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

5. Remove Temp files from the computer

1. First of all, Open the RUN box using Windows+R shortcut key and then type command %temp% and hit enter.

2. This is the folder where Windows stores all temporary files, you can delete all of them.

3. Press Ctrl+A to select all the files at once, and press shift+delete to delete all of them.

6. Reinstall Taskbar

If the above methods are not working for you, then this is last, now you should reinstall your Taskbar.

1. Press Windows+X shortcut key and then open PowerShell(Admin) on your desktop.

2. Now, type the following command on PowerShell Window, you may copy paste command too.

3. Once the command is execute you can restart your PC.
