Often, you might have noticed a usual notification “Display Driver Failed to Start” on Windows 10. It occurs due to some reasons when the Display driver gets old and is not updated to the new version. However, you can use Microsoft basic display adapter, but it’s not as good as Intel Display Driver.

Solve: Display Driver Failed to Start
Update the Display Driver
If you didn’t update the driver for a long time, you might get this error, Updating the driver might be a good idea first.
1: Press the Windows+X shortcut key on your keyboard, then open the Device Manager.
2: On the Device Manager window, just go to the Display driver.
3: Next, Right-click on your Graphics Driver and then Update Driver.
4: Now, Let the Windows search automatically for updated driver software.
5: Windows will search online for the latest driver, If an update is available, it will be downloaded and installed.
Once the update is installed, you can restart your pc and check the error.
If no update is available you will get a message “The best driver for this device is already installed”.
If this method doesn’t help you to fix the Display Driver problem, time to jump on another method.
Disable and Enable the Display Driver
Sometimes Driver doesn’t work properly, Users may Disable the Driver and Enable it again. It usually takes a minute, and most of the time it works with most of the Drivers especially for WiFi drivers.
1: Just go to the Device Manager the then Graphics Driver.
2: Right-click on the Driver and Disable it.
3: Again right click then Enable it.
4: Under the Action Tab, Do a scan for hardware changes.
5: Restart PC and check the error.
Reinstall Intel HD Display Driver
If any kind of method is not able to fix this error, you may reinstall the Driver again, Just follow a few more steps.
1: First of all, Open the Device Manager and go to the Display Driver.
2: Right-click on the Display Driver and then click uninstall option and follow further instruction.
3: Click OK when you get a confirmation box and restart your PC. (Don’t delete the Driver).
4: Once PC is restarted, Download the latest version of Intel Graphics Display Driver and install it on your PC.

You can download the Display Driver from the Laptop or PC manufacturer website and install it on your Windows 10.
